Hrithik Roshan takes a dig at societal expectations

Hrithik Roshan recently took to Instagram, sharing a reflective thought with his followers. The Fighter actor captured a mirror selfie that showed him on crutches.

Roshan, holding the crutch along, shared his thought process on emerging as a powerful person after overcoming internal battles.

He emphasised on embracing vulnerability as part of the healing process.

He aimed to redefine resilience, breaking free from the shackles of society. In the process, the Kaabil actor shared a memory of his late grandfather, recalling him as someone who was ‘big’ on strength.

He revealed his grandfather hated relying on wheelchair as it made him appear 'weaker'.

Commenting on his priorities, the 50-year-old actor questioned his grandfather's belief system, calling it as ‘plain stupidity.’

Roshan shared a reflective note, highlighting all the aspects he considered important, adding: "Good afternoon. How many of you out there ever needed to be on crutches or a wheelchair n how did that make you feel? I remember my grandfather refusing to sit on a wheelchair at the airport because it wouldn't align with his own mental image of himself as "strong.”

He continued: “It made me so sad to see how strong he needed to be just to hide the fear n embarrassment on the inside. I couldn't make sense of it. Made me feel helpless.” He used n kept the strong image on display for strangers (who literally didn't care). It worsened his pain and delayed the healing."

“I just think that the virtue has been stretched so far that it borders on plain stupidity," the actor concluded.

Hrithik was last seen sharing the screen space with Deepika Padukone in his latest thriller, Fighter.
