Pak denies its troop killed India jawans

- January 09, 2013 - Updated 1241 PKT - From Web Edition

RAWALPINDI: The Director General Military Operations for the Pakistan Army on Wednesday talked to his Indian counterpart via telephone and rejected New Delhi’s claim that Pakistan troops killed their two soldiers in a cross border raid, Geo News reported.

Pakistani military authorities dubbed New Delhi’s claim as propaganda and said: “our troops did not carry out attack. Indians are making counter claim to cover their attack on a Pakistani post,” the senior military official was quoted by local media as saying.

The Indian attack on Pakistani check-post killed a soldier and injured two others over the weekend.

AFP Adds: Pakistan on Wednesday again denied an Indian claim that its troops killed two Indian soldiers in a cross-border attack, a military official said.

"Indian authorities were informed that Pakistan has carried out ground verification and checked and found nothing of this sort happened as being alleged by India," the official told reporters in a text message.

Let UN Concerned over LoC of violence. No nation wants to destroy their peaceful life.

@Mohd Tariq. I absolutely agree with you. Please let's concentrate on our internal issues and poverty alleviation in both our nations that get down to stupidities which don't result in anything. Please Respect HUMAN LIVES at either side.

It is outright stupid to have border skirmishes. Pakistan has plenty of stuff to deal with internally - the top of the list being justice and fighting corruption. Sports, culture and arts should not be spoiled by politics. In fact, these activities should be used to improve the political climate.

Samad After so severe beating by Pak Cricket team, good excuse to run away.

In war or battle, truth is the first casualty.Blame game will continue.Serious allegation by India that the body of the dead Indian soldier was mutilated, burden of the proof that it did not happen, falls on Pakistan. Director General of Pak army should continue insisting on UN supervised inquiry. Mutilation of a dead soldier is simply barbaric. let us hope it never happened.

Universal denial accepted .... :-)
