'Drones will only augment hate for US'

TANK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Sunday reiterated that the higher the number of drone strikes in Waziristan, the more hate they will create for the US, Geo News reported.

The PTI Chief was addressing a rally here after the peace march spearheaded by him against the US drone attacks was barred from entering South Waziristan (SW).

The PTI caravan was stopped since it was not in the possession of a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

Imran Khan demanded of the government to abandon its two-faced policy and tell the truth to the people, warning 'if the tsunami could head Waziristan, it could also take the direction of Islamabad'.

"Asif Zardari be afraid of the tsunami," he snapped, adding he would very soon lead a march towards Islamabad for bringing the change.

Severely criticizing the US drone policy, Imran Khan said the unilateral attacks by pilot-less planes in Pakistan territory only deserved to be condemned, as they are executed in violation of international laws and human rights.

Imran Khan thanked Allah for peaceful culmination of the rally and also the participants for making the peace march possible.

"People from foreign countries have come to show solidarity with the residents of the tribes," he appreciated, adding despite life threats people joined the peace march in large numbers.

"I am proud of the PTI workers……no other political party's activists would have agreed to go to Waziristan," Khan said, and that no political party could compete against PTI which, he claimed, would make a clean sweep in the next general elections.

Lashing out at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, he said: "Maulana sahab, if you have no intention to serve the people then at least give us a chance to work for them. You neither play yourself nor leave ground for others to play."

Praising the people of Waziristan, Khan said the people of this region never bowed their heads before any force. "We have made Waziristan's voice heard across the globe," he added.

Earlier, various leaders of PTI returned from Manzai area as the local administration stopped the peace rally to enter South Waziristan.

PTI's march had reached the Manzai area while removing the containers that were placed on the route of the rally.

The peace march was headed by Imran Khan among various central leaders of the party including Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Khursheed Ahmed Qasuri, Jehangir Tareen and Shafqat Mehmood.

Earlier, the PTI's peace-march caravan, which consisted of scores of vehicles and hundreds of activists, had kicked off from Islamabad for South Waziristan and reached Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday evening.

After the caravan reached in Dera Ismail Khan‚ the district administration tightened security in connection with the PTI march. In the meantime, a red alert was declared in Tank as part of arrangements to provide security to the participants of the march.

It looks like that participation in the rally was just short of 99,000 heads from what was projected. There were huge crowds somewhere but not in the rally :). Its about time that this populist stupidity to end.

Imran Khan claimed that he will take one hundered thaousand PTI supporters to Waziistan, but very said to say that the people participating in the march towards District Tank were not more than 7000, while BBC qouted the figure round about 3 - 4 thaousands. the reasons were PTI don't have grass root experienced wokers and support of the people in rural Pakistan. HardLuck! try again next time.

for Bush from Afghanistan, he talks about freedom of speech, tell me where you can leave your comments and even you leave them when the US media prints it, I tell you rare? freedom of speech in US is false statement, unless you are a gay, a feminist and a Jew. Muslims are generally terrorist, barbaric, and uncivilized.
