Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Margaret Adamson and Higher Education Commission Chairman Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, on Wednesday, signed a document of understanding (DoU) for partial scholarships for Pakistani scholars in the Australian universities.
The universities which will provide these fellowships include University of Melbourne, Macquarie University, University of Wollongong and RMIT University which are the world top ranked universities of Australia. These universities will provide 170 partial PhD scholarships.
Under the joint scholarship programme, University of Melbourne has offered 75 full tuition fee waiver PhD scholarships in next five years, University of Wollongong has offered 25 full tuition fee waiver PhD scholarships in next five years, and RMIT University has offered 20 full tuition fee waiver PhD scholarships in next four years. HEC funding will cover maintenance allowance, air travel and health insurance.
