KHAR: Seven militants and three personnel of security forces, including a captain, were killed while two soldiers sustained injuries in an encounter during a search operation in the remote Banda area in the Salarzai Tehsil of Bajaur Agency on Monday, official sources said. The sources said security forces launched the search operation following a tip-off about the presence of militants in Banda Salarzai.They said seven militants were killed during the search operation. They added that a captain and two soldiers were also martyred while two security personnel sustained injuries in the action.The martyred soldiers were identified as Captain Islam, Naib Subedar Shah Farman and Shahid. The injured included Naik Amal and Naik Aftab.Meanwhile, officials said that 25 suspects were also arrested during the search operation in the area.
