UAE’s viral humanoid robot Bu Sunaidah returns in Abu Dhabi

An Emirati-branded humanoid robot named Bu Sunaidah turned heads at the Make it in the Emirates 2026 in Abu Dhabi, where it was seen walking through pavilions dressed in a traditional kandura and shemagh. 

The robot which operates on the Unitree G1 platform became a viral sensation throughout the UAE after its appearance with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who ran near Emirates Towers and interacted with people at public events. 

The latest appearance of the robot shows how the UAE is increasing its dedication to robotics and artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing technologies.
