Britain's Prince William attended the annual Tusk Conservation Awards in London on Wednesday (November 26), where 3 people were awarded for their work in African conservation.

William said he was “immensely proud” that, over the last 35 years, Tusk has invested in more than 250 projects across over 25 countries in Africa to improve protection for more than 60 species.

The royal, who has been patron of the charity Tusk since 2005, presented the awards, which shine a spotlight on the achievements of conservationists and wildlife rangers across Africa, to three individuals.

Kumara Wakjira from Ethiopia received the Prince William Award for Conservation, Rahima Njaidi from Tanzania won the Tusk Award for Conservation in Africa, and Laban Mwangi from Kenya took home the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award.
