King Charles welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte for the first French state visit to the UK since 2008.
The ceremonial banquet with full pomp and pagentry was also attended by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, Princess Anne and Duke and Duchess of Gloucester along with dignitaries, and celebrities.
The evening was blended with the Princess of Wales, making a graceful return to the spotlight.
