Queen Elizabeth ditched wearing blue over strange superstition

Queen Elizabeth reportedly stopped wearing blue after the royal family faced a series of problematic events which the monarch linked back to her wearing the colour. 

Noting that she wore the colour during the weddings of her two sons King Charles and Prince Andrew, their subsequent divorces led the monarch to believe that it was not a good sign.
