CM Usman Buzdar takes aerial view of Lahore, other cities to check lockdown

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took an aerial view of Lahore, Multan, Sahiwal, Kamalia, Mian Channu on Saturday to review the lockdown situation.

The chief minister observed that the markets and business centres were closed due to the lockdown. He also viewed the traffic situation on the roads. He directed the officers concerned to ensure strict implementation on the security measures enforced by the government to deal with coronavirus.

Usman Buzdar lauded the services of police, Pakistan Army and Rangers and said that these institutions had played an exemplary role. He said the government had taken all the measures to protect the health and lives of the people.

He appealed to the people to follow the government’s instructions for for their own betterment. He said, “This time of trial demands us to make collective efforts.”

Usman Buzdar said that he personally monitored the steps taken to prevent the people from coronavirus pandemic by visiting different cities. The government is with the people in this difficult time, he added.

Later in his message on Twitter, the CM said that their frontline professionals in the fight against coronavirus are their heroes. “All the heroes will be given the allowance equal to their salaries. They will be given the Shaheed Package in case of loss of life,” he announced.
