Coronavirus patient shifted to Islamabad in critical condition
MANSEHRA: The district administration on Wednesday shifted a coronavirus-affected woman from the locked-down Ghazikot Township to Islamabad in a critical condition.
Iffat Bibi, one of the three confirmed coronavirus patients from Mansehra, was in quarantine at her residence in posh Ghazikot Township at Sector-D after her son Ijaz Ahmad, an expatriate, returned home from Britain in mid- March.
Iftikhar Ahmad, who according to official sources, had received his brother Ijaz Ahmad at the Islamabad International Airport, was also screened and was being kept under surveillance in Peshawar.
Ijaz Ahmad was shifted to the federal capital last week after his condition became critical. The district administration had locked down Ghazikot Township Sector-D the other day and nobody was being allowed to enter or leave the site. The administration has also kept two families in quarantine on their return from Gilgit.
According to the official sources, 15 members of both families were being quarantined in the Baffa area of district and nobody was allowed to meet them.
