LAHORE:PML-N MNA Rana Sanaullah on Wednesday demanded a judicial inquiry into drug case against him claiming that he had been falsely implicated in it at the behest of the government. Khan, also a former law minister, was talking to the media on his visit to Lahore High Court Bar Association. He thanked the legal community for standing by him in the testing time he spent behind the bars. He said the government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf had nothing to give the country except politics of victimisation.

Khan questioned the competency of Prime Minister Imran Khan as what he believed he remained ignorant about his arrest by Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). He said all including the allegedly recovered heroin and the witnesses belonged to the ANF.

He claimed that director general of the ANF also knew that the drug case was a fabricated one. He also lashed out at state minister Sheheryar Afridi for making false claims of having video evidence of the alleged heroin recovery. The opposition leader called for a fact finding commission in his case. He said former primeminister Nawaz Sharif and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif will return to the country soon. He said the health of Sharif, who was in London for treatment, was not well yet.

Khan said the whole opposition had a consensus view that fair and free election should be held in 2020. He said the ‘selected’ government had no ability to run the country. He said street vendors as well as industrialists had been affected badly due to uncontrolled inflation. About conviction of former military ruler retired Gen Pervaiz Musharraf in high treason case, he said the verdict of the special court must be implemented.
