LAHORE: Punjab Law & Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has assured the Kasur child abuse affectees that justice will be done to them and asked them to help the government investigate the case thoroughly so that culprits could be awarded exemplary punishment.
Talking to a 19-member delegation of affectees at 8-Club Road here on Friday, the minister said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has issued instructions to all departments concerned to ensure provision of justice to the affectees. He said he was also personally monitoring the investigation process.
MPA Malik Ahmed Khan, IG Punjab, Commissioner Lahore and RPO Sheikhupura were also present on the occasion. The delegation included lawyer of affectees Latif Sara Advocate, Mubeen Ghaznavi and others.
Earlier, a delegation of Kissan Ittehad met Rana Sanaullah at Civil Secretariat. The minister said country’s development depended on agriculture. He said if farmer would prosper, the country would also prosper. He sought practicable suggestions from members of the delegation about solution to their problems.
Punjab Agriculture Minister Dr Farrukh Javed, MNAs, MPAs, and government officials were present in the meeting.
