Bisaria hopes Pak-India cricket will be revived
LAHORE: Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ajay Bisaria, Friday, hoped to have positive development in the revival of cricket between the two countries as cricket board of both the countries in talks with each other.
Addressing an event at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Bisaria said that the decision for reviving cricket and taking tours for series is to be decided by the cricket boards of Pakistan and india. Bisaria’s statement comes at a time when relations between the two nuclear neighbours are at a low amidst PCB’s legal action against the Indian board for not playing agreed series.
The diplomat also expressed hope that cricket between the two nations would resume as relations normalise since citizens on both sides want restoration of bilateral games. He highlighted the role of media in ties between the two nations.
