MIRANSHAH: The picturesque tourist destination of Razmak is facing a severe clean water crisis and the residents have no other option but to travel several kilometers daily to fetch water from distant mountain sources.

The residents expressed deep concern over the worsening situation, stating that despite Razmak’s natural beauty and tourism potential, basic necessities such as clean drinking water remain unavailable. “We are compelled to carry water from far-off areas and many families have already migrated to Mir Ali due to the hardship,” said one of the local residents.

The water shortage has reached alarming levels, with locals urging the elected representatives to take immediate and effective measures. They demand the government prioritise the provision of clean drinking water and improve essential infrastructure in the area.

The residents warned that if the issue remains unresolved, more families may be forced to leave the region, undermining both the local population’s welfare and Razmak’s appeal as a tourist destination.
