ISLAMABAD: Two young men from North Karachi drowned while bathing in the sea near the Hawkes Bay Beach and the Sandspit Beach due to high tide on Sunday. According to a private news channel, the incident occurred near Hut No. S-67 in the Mauripur area, where three youth went under.
Lifeguards and Edhi Marine Services launched an immediate rescue operation, recovering one youth in an unconscious state and the body of another. Both were shifted to Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, where the condition of the unconscious youth is reported to be critical.
Mauripur SHO Sardar Abbasi identified the deceased as Ali Hassan and Jamil Naveed, and the unconscious youth as Farhan Shah. Efforts are under way to locate the third youth.
