OGDC reappoints Lak as MD & CEO for three-year term
KARACHI: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC), Pakistan’s largest exploration and production (E&P) company, has reappointed Ahmed Hayat Lak as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer for a three-year term, effective January 9, 2025.
The company disclosed the appointment in a regulatory filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Thursday. Lak, who previously served as company secretary and head of legal services at OGDC, was first appointed to the top role in February 2023. He also holds directorships on the boards of Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Reko Dik Mining Company Limited, Pakistan Minerals Private Limited, and Pakistan International Oil Limited. Prior to joining OGDC, Lak served as head of corporate and legal services at Pakistan Oil Fields Limited. He also has experience with the National Accountability Bureau.
