Land dispute claims three lives in Nowshera
NOWSHERA: Two brothers and their uncle were killed and a passerby child sustained injuries in a firing incident at Daag Besud Chowk in Pabbi area on the Cherat Road here on Wednesday.
It was learnt that unidentified armed men lying in wait opened fire on a car at Daag Besud Chowk in Pabbi, leaving three people dead. The slain included two brothers Subhanullah and Saeedullah and their uncle Hassan Khan.
A five-year-old child, Munsif son of Inamullah, who was passing through the area, was caught up in the firing and sustained injuries. The attackers managed to escape from the scene on a motorcycle.
The motive behind the killings was a property dispute between two families.
Meanwhile, the relatives of the slain persons placed the bodies on the GR Road in Pabbi in protest against the killings and blocked the road to traffic. Demanding the immediate arrest of the accused, the protesters later dispersed peacefully after getting assurance from the police that action would be taken against the perpetrators.
