Anti-corruption awareness activities held in IMCG

Islamabad:In the lieu of the directives from the Federal Directorate of Education, Islamabad, anti-corruption awareness activities were organized by the Students'Council in IMCG(PG), F-7/4, Margalla College, under the guidance of Principal Ayesha Kiayani .

The activities, held in compliance with the federal directive, aimed to raise awareness about the negative impacts of corruption and instil values of honesty and integrity among students, with the ultimate goal of creating a corruption-free society. The events included English and Urdu essay writing competitions, English and Urdu speech competitions and poster making competition following the theme of ‘Corruption free Pakistan.’

English essay writing competition was held on the topic ‘Self-Accountability is the Best Accountability.’ The winners were: First prize: Mariam Fatima (BS-3) - second prize: Nourul Ain (BS-3) and third prize: Rafiya Saeed (BS-5)

On the same day, Urdu essay writing competition was also held. First prize was awarded to Shafaq Rana. Second prize was given to Nida Khan and the third prize was given to Seher Noor. English and Urdu speech competitions were held on Monday. The topic for the English speech was: ‘Corrupt have wealth, and honest have worth.’ The event was graced as chief guest by former principal IMCG, I-14, Zahida Pawar, accompanied by Principal Ayesha Kayani, Vice Principal Sarah Kazmi, faculty and students.

Maryam Fatima was announced as the winner of English Speech, whereas Noor ul Ain as winner of Urdu speech; A poster making competition was also held on the theme ‘Corruption-Free Pakistan.’ Muskan Javed was awarded Ist prize whereas, Laiba Javed and Hamd Awais grabbed the 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.

The ceremony concluded, with all winners receiving prizes and certificates. The college crest was presented to the worthy chief guest as a token of gratitude. The events aimed to raise awareness about the importance of accountability and the negative impact of corruption on society. By engaging students in various activities, the institutions has taken the initiative to educate values of honesty and integrity in the future generation.
