Book published to modernise policing system
LAHORE : To reshape the landscape of policing and governance in Pakistan, the National Book Foundation (NBF) has published a new book titled “Technology in Policing”.
The book was penned by Burhan Rasool, who served as the Project Director for the Computerisation of police stations in Punjab.
Talking to reporters, Burhan said the book shall be a textbook for the "Police Administration and Technology" course at the National Police Academy, Islamabad.
This course is a pivotal component of the training curriculum for newly recruited Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs).
It plays a crucial role in equipping future police force leaders with the knowledge and tools necessary for effective service delivery and enhanced departmental efficiency.
NBF secretary Murad Ali said: "I am confident that this publication will be instrumental in the efforts to modernise Pakistan’s policing systems and improve public safety through innovative technological solutions.
It represents a significant step towards addressing the challenges of technology adoption and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within our law enforcement agencies," he maintained.
