Man arrested over illegal currency exchange

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Sunday claimed to have arrested a suspect involved in illegal currency exchange in Karachi.
The suspect, Ghulam Muhammad, was apprehended in the Clifton area. According to officials, the suspect was involved in illegal currency exchange operations and was conducting currency exchange business without a licence. The action was taken on the basis of secret information. During the raid, officials recovered $15,300 and record related to illegal currency exchange.
Officials said the suspect was unable to satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency, after which he was arrested. Investigations are under way and raids are being conducted to arrest his accomplices.
