99 inspectors promoted to next rank of DSP
Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hassan Lanjar on Wednesday visited the Central Police Office as the chief guest of an event held for the promotion of inspectors to the post of deputy superintendent of police (DSP). Officials said that 99 inspectors were promoted to the next rank of DSP.
Lanjar and provincial police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon jointly placed the rank and badge of promotion on the shoulders of the new DSPs. The minister congratulated them and conveyed his best wishes. “You are well aware of your responsibilities and duties. Create a mechanism for departmental development,” he told them.
He said that the aim is to bring the development process on the fast track. “We are facing challenges in Karachi and in the Kutcha areas. I have full faith in our officers and men who will root out crime.”
He also said he supports IGP Memon and the Sindh police. “You will prove your mettle against crime with your responsibilities, experience and expertise. Your determination is to abide by the constitution and the law, and ensure service to humanity through your actions.”
Speaking to the newly promoted officers, Memon told them that their success in the field depends on hard work and effective performance of duties. “Your service career and experience requires you to fight relentlessly and stand firm against crime.” He advised them to deal with criminals with an iron hand using their your operational and investigational capabilities. “I will give you full support to bring the accused to justice. The sacrifices of the Sindh police are more than other provinces. I am proud of our martyrs and their families.”
