Leave if you don’t accept Pakistan law, PM tells terrorists
If terrorists carry out 10 attacks on us we will carry out attacks on them 10,000 times we have won a war against terrorism
PESHAWAR: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar–ul-Haq Kakar has said that the terrorists browbeat people in the name of Islam but we don’t fear them.
“If terrorists carry out 10 attacks on us we will carry out attacks on them for 10,000 times. We have won war against terrorism. Only announcement for our win has to be made. We will not bow before them. Whosoever does not accept Pakistan law he should go out from here. The state will win this war, he said this while addressing Police Darbar here Thursday.
Kakar paid tributes to the martyrs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police and other forces across the country saying, “These fallen heroes are an asset to the nation.”
He said that no one can defeat the force that produced brave cops like Safwat Ghayur and Malik Saad, the two senior-most police officers who were martyred in terrorist attacks in the past years. “Those who offered the supreme sacrifice of their life for protecting their country and nation will get the highest reward in hereafter. The entire nation stands by their brave cops and soldiers,” he added.
He said it’s because of the sacrifices of policemen and soldiers that peace had greatly been restored in the country. “You are not ordinary people. Those fighting this war against terrorists deserve more respect and resources,” said the interim premier. “No one knows the names of terrorists but the names of the martyrs will be remembered forever,” he added.
“We will together fight against terrorists and all those who are with terrorists in any way,” he added.
Earlier, KP Inspector General Police Akhtar Hayat during his welcome speech said that KP and Balochistan had been under the war against terrorism for decades.
He recalled the sacrifices of the force and the brave actions taken against the terrorists in the last many years. The IGP said the KP police were committed to uprooting terrorism from the province and the country.
The KP governor, CM and others later presented shields and gifts to Kakar. Strict security measures were taken during the visit of the interim PM to the provincial capital.
Recalling the barbarism by the terrorists in APS incident in Peshawar some years back, Kakar said the cruelty of the terrorists who targeted innocent children would never be forgotten.
“Every attack from the terrorists will be responded with more power and in a ferocious manner.”
Strongly condemning the miscreants, he asserted that he would continue to raise his voice against them till the last moment of his life. “They are cowards and shameless, they have no courage to fight from the front and always fight from behind the doors,” he added.
He pointed out the terrorists were hampering the process of development and prosperity of the country. He said they were not worthy to be sympathised in any manner. “They are cowards, cruel, senseless and shameless.” He vowed to take the fight against terrorism in the country to the logical end.
Meanwhile, addressing a Tech Destination Pakistan event which featured the launch of E-Rozgar Centers in the country, Kakar said that with a focus on training of human resources as per contemporary requirements, enabling environment and imbibing the spirit of entrepreneurship in the youth, the true potential of Pakistan’s IT sector could be harnessed.
He said the IT sector was the government’s focus for achieving a sustainable economic development and realise the full potential of technological advancement.
