After considering Farooq H Naik’s arguments, the court issued notices to Asif Ali Zardari and others for February 19
KARACHI:The Banking Court has issued notices to former president Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in the fake bank accounts case.
The Banking Court in Karachi conducted a hearing on the fake account case against former president Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday. Counsel Farooq H Naik informed the court that the accused, who were previously issued notices, have appeared in court, but notices were not served to Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur. After considering Farooq H Naik’s arguments, the court issued notices to Asif Ali Zardari and others for February 19. It is noteworthy that the fake bank account case was transferred to Karachi from Islamabad in August of the previous year. Previously, the case had been moved from Karachi to the NAB court in Islamabad in 2019. Asif Ali Zardari and Faryal Talpur, along with two other accused, are named in the fake bank accounts case, facing charges of money laundering and other offences. Anwar Majid Malik, another accused in this case, is currently residing outside the country.
