In showbiz, good looks may give you an easy push but it’s your hard work that guarantees a smooth sailing for success. Kanwar Arsalan’s journey is an example of that very hard work and commitment. In 2007, the aspiring artist registered himself with the talent company of renowned beautician Nabila and that same year, he received his first break as a model for Mobilink’s ad. With his charm, chiselled good looks, and talent, he soon became the face of the country’s prestigious brands like Bonanza, Telenor, Gul Ahmed, Dawlance, Lu Biscuits and edenrob to name a few. In 2008, Kanwar auditioned before veteran director Babar Javed and was selected for his telefilm ‘Bekhudi’.

Seeing his oozing talent, director Misbha Khalid approached him and that is how he got his first serial, ‘Muhabbat Tum Se Hai’ and since then, there is no looking back for this talented actor. His serials such as ‘Chahat Hui Tere Naam’, ‘Joru Ka Ghulam’, ‘Choti Choti Khushiyan’, ‘Do Qadam Door Thay’, ‘Tum Jo Miley’, ‘Kuch Unkahi Batien’, ‘Tum jo Milay’, ‘Bahu Rani’, ‘Larkiyan Mohallay ki’, ‘Mere Sanwariya Ka Naam’, ‘Merey Khuab Reza Reza’, ‘Palki’, ‘Khuab Ankhein Khwaish Chehray’, ‘Kash Mai Teri Beti Na Hoti’, ‘Kitni Girhain Baaki Hain’ among others have gotten Kanwar critical acclaim for his acting. He is keen to be known for his versatility as an actor and that is why he didn’t turn down serials like ‘Shukrana’ and ‘Tahir-e-Lahoti’, where he essayed negative roles. Currently, the actor is busy directing his web series titled ‘Sushi’ in which he will be seen opposite Alizey Rasul. Moreover, he looks forward to his upcoming drama serial ‘Tezaab’ for Geo TV, where he will be portraying the role of a doctor. Let’s look at some of his likes & dislikes in this week’s You!
