Since 2007, LadiesFund, a non-profit organisation, has been instrumental in providing financial assistance to women and to promote and train women entrepreneurs. It aims to integrate the entrepreneurial needs based on the economic and social aspects of the local communities, with respect to greater women participation in the workforce.

LadiesFund has been dedicatedly and actively organising women’s awards (to acknowledge significant contribution of women in different spheres of life); entrepreneurship conferences (an innovative platform to learn from the best minds in business) and internship programmes (to facilitate young and bright girls). Besides other activities, it also hosts quarterly power lunches which are special occasions to meet with other successful women and to build a strong network of influential women.

Recently, LadiesFund organised its 33rd Power Lunch. This dynamic networking session featured 50 incredible women leaders including Noorjehan Bilgrami, Alycia Dias, Beo Zafar, Dr Huma Baqai, Ameena Saiyid, Anjaleen Agrawalla, Simi Kamal, Dr Dure Samin Akram among others. CEO of a private channel, Seema Taher Khan was the chief guest whereas champion swimmer Hareem Malik was the guest of honour.

“We continue to transform the way power spaces and networking at the highest level take place as we are placing women front row and centre in these conversations, having voice and respect from the get-go, with inclusion of male champions for gender inclusion, diversity and women empowerment. With this thirty-third lunch, we further grow this pool as agents of change and the sectors represented,” stated Tara Uzra Dawood, President LadiesFund.

Seema Taher expressed her gratitude for inviting her as a chief guest and said, “This is one organisation that is truly inspirational.”

“LadiesFund is bringing together women who have reached a certain level in life in a very important way to network and collaborate and get to know each other,” elucidated Amin Gulgee, a renowned sculptor, who was also present at the occasion.
