In today’s fast paced technological world, having mere knowledge in a certain field is not enough. Unless one possesses practical knowledge and experience, one can neither excel nor survive. Keeping this in view, Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants and Superior Group joined hands and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) whereby both institutes will collaborate their services for the betterment of students of audit, business, accounts and commerce studies. The MOU was signed in a specially organized event for the said purpose in corporate head office of Superior Group, last week. The event was graced by Vice President of Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants (PIPFA) Mr. Muhammad Yasin, 3U1M Program Director of Superior Group, Ms. Aisha Zahid, BOD Member PIPFA, Mr. Muhammad Sharif, Member Branch Committee and Chief Internal Auditor Superior Group Mr. Ibn-e-Abass, Member Branch Committee and Chief Financial Officer Din Group Mr. Shaukat Hussain, Member Branch Committee and Chief Internal Auditor PMBMC Industries Department Government of the Punjab Mr. Farhan Dilawar Sheikh, Member Branch Committee Mr. Zahid Rasool and Additional Director PIPFA Mr. Naeem Akhtar.

Program Director Superior Group, Ms. Aisha Zahid was of the view that nowadays institutes should not produce job-oriented mindsets; their primary focus should be on developing and strengthening entrepreneurial skills in students. This, eventually, opens up new horizons of opportunities and skills for students.

Highlighting the significance of the MoU, she added that Superior Group will play its role to impart soft communicational and other interpersonal skills. The students of both institutes will benefit from the experience and knowledge of key and renowned professionals of the field of accountancy, especially in public sector, from PIPFA.

Recently, attainment of full membership of International Federation of Accountants has added another feather in the cap of the institute and its members that, in itself, is a milestone for the institute. Highlighting the benefits of the memorandum for society, Mr. Yasin added that the memorandum would bring fourfold benefits to students of PIPFA and Superior Group, both. Students will benefit from professionally certified experienced professionals and at the same time would be able to learn from experienced public sector professionals working for government and other public sector organizations.

After the formal addresses of chief guests, Mr. Shaukat Hussain, member branch committee, highlighted the aspects that differentiate PIPFA from other accountancy bodies and significance of being affiliated with International Federation of Accountants. He also shed light on significance of being equipped with professional certificates in this modern era. He advised students to opt for roadway of professional studies in order to be timely eligible for key corporate positions i.e., Chief Financial Officer, Chief Internal Auditor, etc.
