The silent echoes of genocide by Izza Rauf was a great cover story. I am appalled by the apathy of the Muslim world and can’t help respecting and admiring all the people of other faiths in the western world who have been protesting against Israel’s systematic genocide of the Palestinian people. It is the same way Kashmiris have treated by the Muslim countries, including Palestine. Although Palestine and Kashmir are in the same boat, Palestine has never, to my knowledge, condemned Indian aggressions. The poem at the end of the story also touched my heart. Well done, Izza. Keep it up, Us!

Joblessness is a serious issue
Dear Editor,
I am a 28-year-old engineer. I graduated about four years back and was unable to get a proper job. I took up a couple of part-time jobs and kept trying to get a job in my own field. After a year, I got a temporary job for Rs24000, and I took it. My workplace was quite far and I had to change two busses to get there. In the evening, I continued with one of my part-time jobs. I worked hard and proved my worth to my employers, so after six months, they offered me a permanent position with a much better salary. I am doing well now, and the purpose of this letter is to share my experience with your readers. I think young people get discouraged very easily, and want a good job – not unreasonably – after getting their degree and lose hope when that doesn’t happen. They let negativity overwhelm them. I want to advise them through Us to get whatever work they can and continue their search for better prospects, till they make it. And, always remember that there is no shame in doing any work as long as you do it honestly. Hope I have made sense.
