Narrated Abu Huraira (R.A):

“I heard Allah’s Apostle (P.B.U.H.) saying, “We (Muslims) are the last (to come) but (will be) the foremost on the Day of Resurrection though the former nations were given the Holy Scriptures before us. And this was their day (Friday) the celebration of which was made compulsory for them but they differed about it. So Allah gave us the guidance for it (Friday) and all the other people are behind us in this respect: the Jews’ (holy day is) tomorrow (i.e. Saturday) and the Christians’ (is) the day after tomorrow (i.e. Sunday).”

The highest international road in the world runs between China and Pakistan

The Karakoram Highway is considered the highest paved international road in the world. Also known as National Highway 35 and the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway, the structure was built by the governments of Pakistan and China. The construction took almost 20 years, starting in 1959 and completed in 1978. The building process required the skills of about 24,000 workers, and claimed the lives of 810 Pakistani and 82 Chinese workers, mostly due to landslides and falls.

Approximately 1,300 km in length, the highway runs from China’s Kashgar, a city in the western Xinjiang region, to Pakistan’s Abbottabad, with an extension meeting the Grand Trunk Road at Hasan Abdal, Attock. The road passes through the Karakoram mountain range, at the maximum elevation of 4,714 meters (15,466 feet) near Khunjerab Pass.

A popular tourist attraction with scenic views at every turn, the highway is often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World due to its high elevation and the difficult conditions under which it was built.
