took over 15 years to devise - using and perfecting it on herself - and finally formulated at a top European lab. The final product is a matte grey handy compact, which includes a four-way palette of concealer, blender, blusher and lip stain, under which is neatly tucked a pressed powder. According to Nabila, it’s an on-the-go solution that guarantees a flawless face in 37 seconds.
“I could not hide my dark circles; everything I used would only make them more visible,” Nabila quoted the reason behind taking this initiative. “I began using my own pot to cover them and this was 16 to 17 years ago. I then developed it further, putting everything together in one palette. That’s how I came up with NO Makeup – flawless skin in less than a minute.”
“I have been working closely with a lab in Europe, mixing my own pigments,” she continued, “because I feel I understand brown skin better than others. Considering the daylight we are exposed to, whatever seems to work for us at Harvey Nicholas will not work the same in Karachi and that’s why I developed this customized product. It’s the only product I have needed and every time I used it people would 
ask me where they could get it. So for the past few years I’ve been developing it for sale. A lot of work has gone into it but developing the product was easy compared to having it packaged, patented and getting the licensing done. Importing it has been a nightmare. But now that it’s here, women are loving it because it’s the perfect solution for the modern woman.”

Retailing for PKR 6,500, No Makeup comes in five different colour ranges, and will be available at Nabila salons as well as Scentsation outlets. An order-online TCS service will also be activated soon. Given the limitations of the average woman, the biggest challenge will be to instruct ladies on the palette’s proper use. Hopefully, tutorials will be put up soon.
