Model and actress Zhalay Sarhadi, who has a number of TV plays to her name, appeared in drama serial Mere Bewafa alongside Agha Ali and Sarah Khan last year. While she made her big screen debut with Chalay Thay Saath in 2017, the actress recently made her singing debut with the OST of ongoing TV series, Aik Aur Sitam.
Now the actress is all geared up for her upcoming television play, titled Qismat. Directed by Musawir Khan and written by Salma Younus, the drama series is a story about relationships.
In a recent interview, the actress shared that in the play she essays the character of Mehreen, who represents a perfect eastern woman but lacks self-love. Qismat highlights the struggle of a woman at every stage of life - including after getting married and taking on the responsibility of a mother. According to the actor, she has essayed a few characters that had a negative element in them, but Mehreen has a lot of shades and layers to her character.
Besides Zhalay, the drama has an ensemble cast and features, Aijaz Aslam, Faraz Farooqui, Laiba Khan, Mariyam Tiwana and Zulqarnain Hyder among others. The play is scheduled to go on air later this year.
