While Maya Ali and Sheheryar Munawar, and Atiqa Odho and Nauman Ijaz recently wrapped up their fundraising tours, playwright Anwar Maqsood and veteran actor Adnan Siddiqui are presently in the US to generate funds for a noble cause.
Siddiqui took to social media and posted a picture with Maqsood, sharing that he has been associated with Indus Hospital as their brand ambassador for the noble cause of providing medical treatment free of cost.
“I’m coming to US for a fundraiser with Anwar Maqsood Sahab. Hoping to see you guys,” he added.
He also informed that while their trip begins from Las Vegas on April 5, followed by LA and Fresno on April 6 and 7, he shared that they plan to head to Memphis (April 12), San Antonio (April 14), Calgary (April 19), Canada and Washington DC. The tour comes to an end on April 20.
Currently in Anaheim, California, Siddiqui recently shared on his Instagram handle how honored he feels to be traveling with Maqsood for the cause, as the latter was the one to discover him and offer him his first role many years ago.
He posted: “I was looking forward to be a part of the Indus Hospital fundraiser but now this trip has an entirely different meaning and an enriching experience for me. On this trip I’m not only determining his generosity of spirit, but I’m also seeing a different side of fandom where people want to just catch a glimpse of him. I’ve always been in awe of his personality, but I’m more so now. There’s so much that I’m learning just by observing him and the way he makes people laugh on his wit and satire. His aura is magical, and he has the ability of finding humour in the most crucial situations, which has always amazed me.”
