Recently spotted at the Junoon reunion concert, musician turned actor Junaid Khan is on a roll. This year, he appeared in multiple TV plays such as Silsilay, Khasara and Isha Tamasha that were among the top rated projects in 2018. Currently, the actor is gearing up for his next, called Kasa e Zaat that is soon to go on-air on Geo TV.
Speaking of his character in Kasa e Zaat, he shared in a recent interview that he is playing the role of Azir, with four siblings. TV show host and actor Nadia Khan will be essaying the role of his eldest sister.
“Azir plays a mediator between the eldest sister and the younger ones,” Junaid informed. “Whenever the eldest sister reacts, he consoles and calms her and whenever the younger ones need him, he is there for them. He is a caring and emotional guy. He is your typical middle-class, family-oriented guy; he stands out as a caring, romantic and a simple man.”
Aside from Junaid and Nadia, Kasa e Zaat features Rubab Hashim (who is starring opposite Junaid), Mariyam Nafees and Sumaiyya Bakhsh in key roles. Directed by Zeeshan Ahmed, whom the actor worked with for Main Kaisay Kahun, the play is all set to hit TV screens in January 2019.
