After receiving amazing response for their song ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ on Pakistan Day, Call the band (featuring Zulfiqar Jabbar Khan, M. Sultan Raja and Junaid Khan) is back with their music video ‘Rung Do’ that was released on the eve of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

While the band collaborated with 40 drummers and percussionists from across Pakistan for the ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ chant, this time around - for ‘Rung Do’ - they have collaborated with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and 50 videographers to capture the essence of the people of Pakistan.

“Basically the main purpose of this song is to work towards a positive cause and what better way than to plant trees, especially when Pakistan is facing grave problems such as water crisis and climate change,” Junaid Khan, lead vocalist of the music group, told Instep. “Keeping in mind the collaboration with WWF, we came up with this song and thought to align it with WWF for a particular cause: planting a tree.”

According to the singer turned actor, through ‘Rung Do’ they wanted to show how a nation is formed and what unites them. “Not only have we joined hands with WWF but for the video we collaborated with 50 videographers across Pakistan who have captured the beauty of Pakistan and its people and covered around 70 cities, villages and valleys. The video features men, women and children from across Pakistan who chant ‘Rung Do’.”

On a parting note, Junaid said, “The song is the spirit of marking ourselves green and planting a tree whenever you get the chance and wherever you are.”
