After delivering remarkable performances in the highly acclaimed political drama, Mera Saaein, in 2010, veteran actor Noman Ijaz and model-turned-actor Sunita Marshall will once again share the screen in an upcoming play called Ghamand. The two actors are reuniting after nearly eight years.
The play revolves around the story of a woman who is the only daughter of an affluent businessman and thinks that on the basis of her wealthy background she can own anything or anyone.
As far as the plot is concerned, Ghamand is about how this woman ruins her child’s life owing to her deceitful attitude and shrewd narcissist nature. The story also depicts her manipulative ways to keep her husband bound to herself. All of this ultimately leads to a toxic relationship with everyone around her and she remains unaware of the fact that it is the family bond, compassion and honesty towards relationships that makes life worthwhile. What she fails to realize is that monetary gains do not last for too long. How things evolve from there, we will have to wait and see.
While Noman Ijaz played the part of a sex offender in the recently concluded play Dar Si Jati Hai Sila, let’s see what the actor has in store for his fans with this production.
Currently, Sunita Marshall can be seen essaying the character of Nageen in the ongoing drama serial Khalish alongside Faysal Qureshi, Asif Raza Mir and Zainab Qayyum among others.
Directed by Asim Ali of Mere Qatil Mere Dildar fame and written by Saira Raza, Ghamand will go on air later this year.
