Mahira Khan heads to Cannes Film Festival 2018

One of the leading ladies of Pakistan’s entertainment industry, Mahira Khan has always made Pakistan proud by representing the country on various prestigious international forums. She was honoured at the Beirut International Awards Festival 2017, Masala UAE Annual Awards 2017 and the most recent UK Asian Film Festival 2018, where she also spoke about Pakistan’s film industry. Adding another feather to her cap, Mahira will be representing Pakistan at the prestigious 71st Cannes Film Festival later this month. She will be joined by Hollywood and Bollywood A-listers at the upcoming event.

Mahira will be attending the festival alongside Bollywood stars Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut.

“Cannes is a festival that every actor looks up to. I am glad that I got this opportunity,” Mahira stated in a recent interview. She will be representing L’Oreal as their official spokesperson for Hair-Care in Pakistan.

The actor is currently gearing up for the release of her next film, 7 Din Mohabbat In with Sheheryar Munawar, the trailer for which is scheduled to release on May 7 while the film comes out on Eid ul Fitr. Also featuring in Bilal Lashari’s highly anticipated Maula Jutt remake, Mahira has signed on for a third big screen project called Paray Hut Love which will be directed by Asim Raza.

Coming back to Cannes, it is an annual film festival held in Cannes, France, which previews new films of all genres, including documentaries, from all around the world. Founded in 1946, the festival will take place from May 8 to May 19 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès this year. We’ll be following Mahira for all her red carpet statements.
