Turning to Twitter the American politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez known commonly by her initials AOC is prompting her followers to be there for the Muslim community in this time of grief that struck the Muslims across the globe with the ‘terror attack’ in Christchurch, New Zealand.
In the wake of the deadly attack at a New Zealand mosque, US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is urging the public to extend a hand of love and support to the Muslim community.
Turning to Twitter the American politician known commonly by her initials AOC is prompting her followers to be there for the Muslim community in this time of grief that struck the Muslims across the globe with the ‘terror attack’ in Christchurch.
“Friends, Morning (Friday) is Jummah, the weekly day of worship for our community of Muslim friends and loved ones. Be there for them. Check in. Perhaps extend a kind gesture at your local mosque. There is so much fear and hate. We must negate it with active, courageous love,” she stated on Twitter.
Earlier on Friday, a gunman had opened fire at a mosque in Christchurch, livestreaming the entire shooting incident, that left at least 40 people dead and 20 injured, as confirmed by Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern.
