Popular German Ambassador to Pakistan says retiring soon
Martin Kobler became popular with his public appearances and his social media efforts to explore Pakistani culture and promote tourism.
German Ambassador to Pakistan Martin Kobler on Sunday announced that he is going to retire soon.
But twitter users are requesting him to permanently stay in the country.
The German diplomat, who is arguably the most popular foreign Ambassador in Pakistan , jokingly asked his followers whether he should prepare a back up plan after retirement while sharing a picture of himself preparing Halwa.
Kobler wrote that picture was taken at a Sohan halwa shop near Lodhra, Punjab.
The tweet seemed to disappoint his Pakistani followers who asked him not to leave the country.
Kobler became popular with his public appearances and his social media efforts to explore Pakistani culture and promote tourism.
He was perhaps the first foreign diplomat who started updating his followers in Urdu Language too.
