There have been speculations in media, unsupported by any evidence, that Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova may be one of the invitees at the Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Though she is not known for having any association with the British royals, some media outlets corroborated their reports with speculations that since Maria Sharapova is having an affair with Alexandar Gilkes,a friend of Prince Harry and Prince William, she may also accompany him to the wedding.
Rumors have that Misha Nonoo, who was formerly married to Prince William and Harry’s friend Alexander Gilkes, introduced Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and set them up on a blind date — but she has never confirmed this.
According to Dailymail, Gilkes was a guest at William and Kate’s wedding.
Few months ago, Maria Sharapova and Gilkes were spotted together on more than once occasions, and they made no attempt to hide their closeness.
Reports that Maria Sharapova may be a guest at the wedding now seems too exaggerated as wedding day has approached and Sharapova is nowhere near London.
In fact, Maria Sharapova is not too far away either as only yesterday she won a convincing victory in Rome to qualify for the semi finals of WTA Tennis Open tournament at the Foro Italico.
