Twinkle Khanna threatened after Akshay Kumar's 'Rustom' uniform auction
The actor had received the threat after she made an announcement of selling her husband and top Bollywood actor, Akshay Kumar’s naval uniform that he can be seen wearing in his film ‘Rustom’. The proceeds to the auction, according to the 43-year-old columnist, are to be collected for an animal welfare and rescue cause.
India’s famed author and producer Twinkle Khanna has reacted to a violent cyber attack, stating that she believes in taking legal measures against the person making violent threats online.
Social media user Sandeep Ahlawat had retorted to the columnist’s statements in a violent Facebook post that read: “If you even make a feeble attempt to auction this piece of costume in the garb of “UNIFORM” then I will drag you to the court. You touch our honour and we will give you a bloody nose.”
Responding to the attacker, Khanna had taken to Twitter and stated: “As a society do we really think it’s all right to threaten a woman with bodily harm for trying to raise funds for a charity by auctioning a uniform used in a movie, a piece of film memorabilia. I will not retaliate with violent threats but by taking legal action.”
