Gospel choir, other incredible musicians to perform at Royal wedding
Kensington Palace on Tuesday announced that a Christian gospel choir and a teenage cellist will provide the music at the wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry and his American fiancee Meghan Markle on May 19.
LONDON: Kensington Palace on Tuesday announced that a Christian gospel choir and a teenage cellist will provide the music at the wedding of Britain’s Prince Harry and his American fiancee Meghan Markle on May 19.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen some of the performers who will appear at momentous occasion of their wedding.
As per statement, “Both Prince Harry and Ms Markle have taken a great deal of interest and care in choosing the music for their service, which will include a number of well-known hymns and choral works.”
the couple has chosen a number of choral groups, soloists and musicians to perform at the service, which will take place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19, with a reception at Queen Elizabeth’s home west of London afterwards.
Teenage cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir will be among those performing at the ceremony.
“I was bowled over when Ms. Markle called me to ask if I would play during the ceremony, and of course I immediately said yes,” the 19-year-old said. “What a privilege to be able to play the cello at such a wonderful event. I can’t wait.”
