The Emoji Movie wins Worst Picture, Tom Cruise Worst Actor award at the Razzies

Held just one day prior to the grand Oscars 2018 where all of Hollywood had gathered for celebration of cinema’s best, the Golden Raspberry Awards, also known as the Razzies gave away the Worst Film award to ‘The Emoji Movie’, Worst Actor to the otherwise charming Tom Cruise for ‘The Mummy’.

The Worst Sequel/Remake award went to ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ whose Kim Basinger won the Worst Supporting Actor award.

However, ‘The Emoji Movie’ swept the Razzies, claiming a total of four awards.

It is an animated movie revolving around the world inside of a smartphone, where all the emojis (emoticons) are alive and the apps are places to visit.
