LAHORE: The two-day Lahore Literary Festival (LLF) - 2018 that brought together writers, journalists, musicians, analysts and politicians from all over the world, concluded here at the Alhamra Arts Council on Sunday.

Razi Ahmed, the founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of the LLF, told APP that the events like the LLF should be institutionalised and must have full support from the government and other formations to make them a sustainable platform, where people could freely discuss ideas.

He said that a total of 20 sessions were held at the festival, which were attended by more than 100 scholars, writers, critics and researchers.

"LLF-2018 featured a keynote address from Dr Azra Raza and Chan Soon-Shiong, Professor of Medicine, and Director of Myelodysplastic Syndrome Centre at Columbia University," he added.

Razi said a large number of students and writers, who came from far-off and remote areas of the country, had got an opportunity to benefit from renowned scholars.

He thanked the government for providing tight security outside Alhamra Arts Council, the venue of the festival.
