Distinguished Israeli actress and model Gal Gadot was honored with the #SeeHer award at The Critics Choice Awards where she kept up with the spirit of the ‘Time’s Up’ movement.
The award was bestowed upon her for her innumerable welfare services and for her work towards the empowerment of women as well as her striking and remarkable performance in last year’s hit film ‘Wonder Woman’.
The award was presented to the actress, by Wonder Woman’s writer, Patty Jenkins. During the victory speech, Gadot praised her character saying “Diana is full of heart, strength, compassion, and forgiveness. She sees wrong that must be made right. She takes action when everyone around her is idle. She commands the attention of the world, and in doing so, she sets a positive example for humanity.”
She went on to state that women were receiving better roles in the film industry and films with female leads were also doing great at the Box Office, however, they still stand far from their destination.
The star also raised her voice for the #MeToo movement by dedicating her award to the men and women standing up for what they think is right and fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. She made a promise to never be silenced against injustice.
