The recent cold spell in China's Shanxi Province has caused a powerful waterfall to freeze in time. This frozen waterfall in northwestern China has become a hit with tourists since then.
Tourists throng to visit Hukou Waterfall, billed as the world's largest yellow waterfall, after its banks became completely frozen.
The shape of the section of the river gives the waterfall its name Hukou, which means 'the mouth of a kettle'
As the waterfall freezes, rainbows also occasionally formed in the mist of the waterfall, adding dazzling effects to the icy wonderland.
Such magical scenes usually happen between late November and January, sometimes even lasting until February.
