Scotland police force writes powerful open letter to women suffering from domestic abuse
Showing solidarity to women stuck and suffering in abusive relationships, police force in Scotland are being praised for writing an open letter to those going through the trauma of domestic violence.
In a series of tweets, giving power and courage to women enduring physical and mental pain in the name of domestic abuse, officers on the Lochaber and Skye Police force, addressed a woman going through this particular, depressive episode.
However they soon added that the message is directed to any woman ‘who may be at risk.’
A brilliant move termed by many, the police force was highly appreciated for this message, specially the victims who somehow got out of it.
Unfortunately though, it just goes to show the gravity of the situation and the extent to which women suffer from severe misery.
Domestic abuse being a global problem stands even today, with at least 30% women encountering it at hand.
According to researches, domestic violence affects the children of a family to great degree, stunting their psychological growth leaving behind deep repercussions for them in future.
