Key suspect in Sehwan blast arrested in Karachi
More than 80 people were killed and over 300 injured in the deadly blast in Sehwan on February 16 this year
KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police claimed to have arrested key suspect of Lal Shehbaz Qalander blast, which left more than 80 devotees martyred and injuring over 300.
Sehwan blast suspect was apprehended from the outskirts of Karachi, this was announced by CTD officials in a press conference here Friday. Officials of Sindh Rangers were also present.
The CTD officials informed media that the accused was apprehended from Mai Ghari area of Manghopir. Weapons and explosives were seized from the custody of suspect Nadir.
Meanwhile, according to the sources IG Sindh and Additional IG CTD have apprised Chief Minister Sindh regarding the arrest of Nadir alias Murshid.
The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of CTD.
