Princess Anne hosts major castle ceremony

Princess Anne welcomed honourees to Windsor Castle.

On Wednesday, September 30, the royal family’s official Instagram handle offered glimpses into the latest royal honours ceremony which was hosted by princess anne on behalf of king charles at windsor castle.

It is worth noting here that the Princess Royal could be seen speaking with different recipients including the Black Sabbath’s guitarist Tommy Lommi, in the posted picture carousel.

The caption read, “Congratulations to everyone who received honours at today’s investiture ceremony hosted by The Princess Royal at Windsor Castle.”

Highlighting the honourees, “Amongst recipients were…” it continued, “ Lead guitarist and Co-Founder of @BlackSabbath, @TonyIommi MBE for services to music and to charity.”

Noting, “Campaigner Natalie Cumming MBE for services to Holocaust Remembrance and to the Missing People Charity.”

“Detective Superintendent, States of Jersey Police, Alison Fossey MBE for services to Island Policing and to the wider community of Jersey,” the caption concluded.

In the comment section the royal and music fans showed support, one user wrote, “So proud of you Tony!!! Congratulations!”

While the other noted, “from blowing out speakers with Black Sabbath to getting knighted at Windsor. Absolute class. It turns out heavy metal doesn’t get old- it just trades the leather jacket for some top-tier manners. Brilliant stuff, Tony.”

It is pertinent to mention here that the iconic band, Black Sabbath was formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 by Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Lommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
