Oliver Hudson gets honest about feeling 'insecure' next to famous family

Oliver Hudson is opening up about the challenges of growing up in a famous family.

The son of Goldie Hudson and stepson of Kurt Russel did not shy away from admitting that being in a family whose members are celebrities comes with higher expectations.

“Coming from a successful family, I wrestle with comparison. I wrestle with insecurity,” he said during the premiere episode of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

“My mother’s an icon, so a part of me feels like I have to accomplish something greater for them to be truly proud of me.”

Apart from his famous mother, his sister Kate Hudson is also one of the A-list actresses.

Oliver has been vocal about coming from a well-known family and never feeling as accomplished his close ones.

During his appearance on Great American Baking Show: Celebrity Holiday special last year, when he got positive remarks from judges, he said, "It felt good. Coming from a family of very famous people, I don’t get a lot of wins.”

He said after winning a trophy on the show, “I can maybe rub it in their face. ‘What do you got? Huh? Almost Famous?’ ‘What’s an Oscar? What, a Golden Globe? You don’t have the plate.'"
