Princess Anne enters farm life to mark major milestone

Princess Anne visited Nethercott House to meet children and teachers.

On Thursday, September 24, the official Instagram handle of the royal family, showed moments from Princess Anne’s latest visit at Nethercott House in Iddesleigh, Devon, England, to mark 50th anniversary of the charity, Farms for the City Children.

In the posted carousel of pictures, the Princess Royal could be seen taking part in farm activities and also interacting with children and teachers of John Donne Primary School.

However the caption highlighted, “The Princess Royal has celebrated fifty years of @farmsforcitychildren.”

It continued, “Founded by Sir Michael Morpurgo and Lady Clare Morpugo, the charity has welcomed more than 108,000 children and young people to its farms for immersive residential experiences that enable children from cities, particularly those experiencing inequality, to spend a week living and learning on working farms.”

“At Nethercott House, Her Royal Highness met visiting children and teachers from John Donne Primary School as they groomed farm animals and tended to produce,” the caption concluded.

It is pertinent to mention that Princess Anne served as a patron of Farms for City Children since 1991.
